The song’s title is the initials of the “Internal Revenue Service.” However, the track itself appears to be referring to Rose’s former partners Erin Everly and Stephanie Seymour, both of whom filed lawsuits against him after the end of their respective relationships. This was originally leaked and played on Eddie Trunk’s radio show in New York by Mike Piazza, a few years prior to the release of
