When I met with Imagine Dragons for the first time, they invited me into their studio to hear songs from
Smoke + Mirrors
while still in the works. What an incredible experience it was to visit them in their world. I felt so honored. I will never forget the moment I heard ‘The Fall.’ It is absolutely beautiful! A floating tree with thousands of gold petals rising to the sky came flooding in. In my mind, without doubt or question, this painting completely captured the spirit and emotion of the song and became the perfect means of expression to tell the story of ‘The Fall’.”
