About Taylor Swift’s Macavity from Cats: Highlights From the Motion Picture Soundtrack (2019)
Skimbleshanks and the company continue singing, but are suddenly interrupted by a loud crash which causes them to scatter. Bombalurina (Taylor Swift) warns the Jellicles about the villainous Cat (with help from some of the other Jellicle girls) as it seems that she knows Macavity a bit better than everyone else. Other fiendish cats are mentioned, namely Mungojerrie, Rumpleteezer and Griddlebone. Throughout, they pour catnip onto the other Jellicles, seemingly drugging them in order to make Old Deuteronomy easier to kidnap. The cause of the disturbance is none other than Macavity (Idris Elba), an antagonistic criminal, who proceeds to interrupt the Jellicle Ball and kidnap Old Deuteronomy.
